Scandic Oil

To apply the oil, use a flat brush to distribute it evenly along the direction of the grain. After a brief period during which the surface remains wet, buff the oil in with a white pad until the surface is uniformly saturated and still slightly damp to the touch. Remove any excess oil using a cotton cloth. After a two-hour interval, a second coat may be applied following the same procedure. Alternatively, the oil can be worked into the wood using a fine-grit sanding fleece soaked in oil, ensuring the surface is evenly wetted and remains hand moist. After a short reaction time, any excess oil should be wiped away with a cotton cloth. Again, after two hours, apply a second coat evenly, as previously described.

2 Coats Needed

The surface will be dust-dry after 1 hour and can be safely sat on or used after two hours, depending on humidity and temperature conditions. It is essential to protect the surface from water for the first 3 to 5 days until it has fully cured.

This product is a 100% VOC-free raw wood effect oil, formulated from natural oils and emulsified in water. It is free from cobalt and oximes, ensuring safety for children, pets, and humans. The surface remains breathable, provides protection against water, and is easy to apply without the risk of flaking or cracking. It offers a natural appearance that enhances the look of wood, keeping it looking untreated and freshly sanded.

The surface must be meticulously sanded, beginning with coarse sandpaper and concluding with a final sanding using 240-grit paper suitable for furniture. Additionally, ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free from grease and dust. Shake the container thoroughly before use.
